Joining the long list of kin and relatives of actors and actresses making their foray in Kollywood is actor and president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam president Vijayakanth's elder brother's son Rajasimhan.

Rajasimhan, a look-alike of Vijayakanth, is playing the lead role in a movie titled 1999, which has actress Keerthy Chawla acting opposite him.

The movie being directed by a debutant K M Krishnamurthy has musical score by Deva.

Rajasimhan aspires to play action-packed roles and emulate Vijayakanth.

‘I will do justice to my roles and keep up the reputation of Vijayakanth,’ he says hopefully.

The movie would be shot extensively in Chennai, Andaman, Sri Lanka , Rajasthan and would be completed in single schedule.

Let's hope Rajasimhan goes on to establish a name for himself in the industry. Much like his uncle, should we add?
